Episode 1: Puppies and Kittens
It's too soon to make any kind of definitive statement about the show based on just one episode. We are treading on familiar ground in the Zombie genre and they have basically swiped a story element right from the pages of
TWD by having them transport a person that has what amounts to a "cure" for the Zombie outbreak. They just have to get him from Point A to Point Z.

In between that will be a bunch of Zombies of course. In
TWD, the new mission is getting Eugene Porter to the
CDC or wherever it was they were heading for the same purpose....a known "cure". Sound familiar? So, it's going to come down to characters for
Z Nation to sustain the series. Based on the first episode, do I think it will reach the same level as
The Walking Dead? Not even close. But it just might be a nice stopgap to fill in the time as we wait for the new season of
TWD to start. It's got potential as a series and I will say this, it's unpredictable and I wasn't expecting them to kill off one of their main stars this soon into it. For those complaining that
TWD is too slow, this one is meant to give you your cake.
