Got this game yesterday. It's almost a year old since it came out in 2011. Just never got around to it till now and it's f*cking awesome!! Currently playing the Campaign story-mode as Andre Bishop. I had no idea that even had what is basically a mini movie, tracking Bishop from the Olympics, to pro debut, to prison, back to Boxing and his rise up the ranks to fight Frost, who is basically modeled after Ivan Drago in a way.

There are actually quite a few story plots that are basically ripped from Tyson, Holyfield, Rocky Balboa, Ivan, etc.....My fingers and hands are sore because I'm gripping the controller like their is no tomorrow. This is such a damn fun game and my first Fight Night game on Playstation 2.

I still have Legacy Mode to play which is where you create your own Boxer (you can even upload a image of yourself to map on the character model. Still need to figure out how to do this) and from here you basically take your fighter through an entire career from amateur to Pro and eventually the Championship match and if you're lucky, win it and then get to defend your crown.

Without spoiling anything about the game for those that have yet to play it, up till now I have been playing as Bishop. But I'm at a spot in the story that has me playing as Frost and it's **** gnarly how FAST and powerful this dude is. And THIS is the guy that Bishop as to fight for the Championship. I think having the player play as Frost is a great way to drive home what a beast this guy is and how incredibly challenging this is going to be once I have to go back to playing Bishop.

F*ck!!

So, I am back to playing as Bishop for the Heavyweight Title against Issac Frost and I am getting my ASS handed to me. This is just ridiculous. Frost is a BEAST and is just destroying me at will. Arrrrrgggggggh!!!!!!!!! Oh, all this is going down in the first round too. Bah!!!

Taking a break from the Champion Mode because I can't get any further in it. Frost is just too much to handle. So, I decided to just play the 'Fight Now' option which basically allows you pick what weight class and what fighter you want as well as choosing which fighter the computer (Xbox) will play.

So, I went with Mike Tyson as my fighter and had 3 different matches, one against Ali, one against Goerge Foreman and one against Tommy Morrison, all in the Heavyweight Division. I destroyed them all, rather easily I might add. I decided that I would drop down a couple of weight classes and fight Sugar Ray Leonard while still going with Tyson as my fighter. And funny thing is, Sugar Ray drops me (Tyson) within the first 5 seconds of the first round with one punch. Very odd. There's something a bit screwy with the mechanics of the game when I can withstand punishing bombs from the likes of Ali, Foreman and Morrison and not be phased one bit, but to get dropped by a fighter 2 weight classes below me with a single jab? What the hell.

Been playing Legacy Mode for about a week now. It's basically taking your fighter through and entire career. You start and the Amateur level and work your way up the ladder. It takes time to get near the top to get a Title shot. Well, just had mine and took out the Champ (Golota). Knocked his ass out. Also had my first title defense. Ironically enough, the fighter they pitted me against had a horrible W/L record and yet he proved to be more challenging than Golota. Go figure. Knock his ass out in the 10th round.

I just bagged my 2nd Championship Belt. It looks like the game is reflecting real life and that there is a 3rd Belt on the line. Time to unify the Division...........

Unified the Belt and the Light Heavyweight Division. Because I dominated in this weight class, I was asked to move up to Heavyweight. Now I get to take on the likes of Ali and Tyson. But not just yet. Need to pump up my stats before I take on the behemoth.

Just bagged my first Heavyweight Championship Title. My first mandatory title defense was against Tommy Morrison. This is the first 'name' fighter I have fought in Legacy Mode. Up till now, it's been nothing but generic fighters. Having said that, I KO'd Morrison in the 3rd Round.

Captured my 2nd Heavyweight Belt and decided to take on Mike Tyson to unify the title, even though I had a lower overall Power Ranking than him. Going into the fight I was at PR 91 and Tyson at PR 95. Lets just say that he was probably the easiest fight ever. Dropped his ass in the 2nd round and was toying with him in the 3rd round before knocking his ass out. BAM!

This game stays true to real-life problems with fighters, namely aging. FNC is just the same way in that as your stimulated fighter continues to fight and age, reaction and recovery time starts to diminish. I was dominating the Heavyweight Class, but the last 5 fights have proved to be very challenging because my fighter is now 35 years old. Every punch I throw drastically reduces my speed and stamina. I'm getting cut easier in the ring and getting knocked down with ease. My latest fight was by far the hardest and he pushed me to the 11th round before I managed to knock him out. But I took some major damage. I'm pretty certain that my fighter will lose all 3 Championship Belts in the next two fights....if I can even get that far. So sloooooooooooow........

My fighter's current record is 53-1. My only loss came way back in the 3rd Professional fight when I didn't know how to operate the controls yet. Plus, I was gassing myself out early in the fight. I thought I'd be able to notch 60 wins, but I don't see that happening with current fighter aging. Up next, taking on Mike Tyson again for the 5th time.

As I suspected, my fighter came out in concrete shoes. I was so damn slow. I couldn't get out of the way of anything. I got dropped by Tyson twice in the first round, which has never happened before. I still don't know how I got up to my feet after the second knockdown. Somehow I managed to take the fight all the way to the 9th round before Knocking Out Tyson. Barely. I can guarantee you that I would survive the next fight. My fighter has NOTHING left.

54-1. Can I make it 55-1? I doubt it. We shall see...........

Wow, just looking at the date of my last post, I didn't realized that it's been over a year since I last played this game. The only reason I came back in this thread is because I'm currently reading Mike Tyson's Undisputed Truth and I have boxing on the brain at the moment. I thought it would be fun to play as Tyson as well as against him while reading the book. Took me a few fights to remember certain combo's to unleash my fury.

My style is impetuous. My defense is impregnable, and I'm just ferocious.  ;D
