This thread will be dedicated to any and all Streamers. As I mentioned elsewhere, I currently have the UnOfficial Twitch App on Roku and currently follow about 75 gamers. That doesn't mean that I watch them all. It's whatever game they are playing that lures me in first and foremost and out of the 75 I currently watch, about 60 are all super hot chicks. So, I'm never at a shortage for eye candy. So, I definitely like watching hot chicks playing games that I actually play. So, if there is a hot chick playing GTA V and another playing Minecraft....well, you know which game is going to win out.

And speaking of hot gamer chicks, the two links above have a bunch of of who I'm following. Some are good and some are just okay. They know what they are doing as far as how to go about getting subscribers. Each one is unique in how the go about it. There is always an angle of some sort that seems to bring in the cash. There are a few chicks that I've recently found via Twitch Search and Featured that I think belong on the list. But I'm guessing they are relatively new to streaming. There is one chick that I found about an hour ago and she was doing a Live Streaming of drawing and she is very good. Remember about the angles I told you about. She was drawing from a photo of one of her followers. He sends a pic of himself to her email and then post it on the screen. The way she had it set up her screen (My TV) is one grid is of the image, another grid if of the canvas (art drawing) and the other grid is of her. It was interesting and very cool.

This thread is for all Live Streamers and not necessarily Video Games. If I can found more people (not just chicks...although that is a bonus) drawing, I will post here as well. I will also be posting tutorials on how to go about setting up Gaming Rigs for the sole purpose of streaming. I'm really looking at this as a viable revenue stream and I'm actually taking notes of what I think is working for everyone streaming and what I don't think works visually. Some of the players have some much sh*t on their screen that it makes me change to another gamer. See, taking notes.....

Feel free to post anything related to Gamers, be it highlight videos or walk-through's. It's all good!

Article: It's Totally Normal To Watch Other People Playing Video Games.  It' trying to make sense for a non-gamer audience about what the heck Twitch is and why it's worth so much freaking money.

Quote from: From The Article
What is Twitch? Twitch is the modern, monetized version of an experience now decades-old. Twitch is watching friends play Mario Kart at a sleepover. Twitch is watching your cousin—the only familial owner of that precious N64—play Zelda. It’s losing early at Halo or Goldeneye and having to sit out; it’s watching your sister navigate the world she built in Minecraft.

It seems I always have Twitch on in the background now if I'm not watching a movie or TV series. It's great as background noise when I need to get work done.

Hey Neumatic, do you have a Twitch account yet? If you haven't done so, you definitely should get one now. My original Twitch app that I had on Roku was the 'Unofficial Twitch' app and it was good, but somewhat limited and buggy. With Roku finally getting an Official Twitch app up and running, the old app was pulled. This meant that I had to upgrade to the new app, which I did and it's way better for one reason: The Creative Channel, which the old app did not have. I actually spend more time watching people all around the world working on their art LIVE and it's damn inspiring. Even if some of the people streaming aren't the best artists out there, it's still fun to be able to turn on Twitch and check out random people working on their craft. You will get a kick out of this. When I'm working on my stuff, I have a channel on just to keep me engage even though their art has nothing to do with mine. I find this to be infinitely better than USTREAM or LiveStream, both of which I hate.

So, now that I have the Official Twitch channel up and running, I'm now able to follow whoever interest me and the first time I did so, it freaked me out when the follow-ee looked directly into the camera, said my name and welcomed me to their site. I wasn't expecting that. Ha. Trippy.

Gaming/Streaming Setup 2015 incl. tips and advice!

Leopard and His $10,000 Gaming/Streaming Setup

I'm been devouring Twitch to the point of obsession the last few days. I'm bouncing from channel to channel to just watch everyone working on their projects. A while back when I first got the Unofficial Twitch Channel, I did a little bit of research into what it would take to become a Streamer. But now that I'm really into this, I'm checking out a handful of videos on YouTube that are geared to helping people understand what is needed to get up and running. I really want to pursue this as a way to draw, color/paint and game on Twitch. I like the social aspect of connecting with other like-minded people in this way. Making money off of this is just a bonus. Some of the videos are pricey setups. Still looking at finding one that actually dives into all the cable connections that will be made and whatnot.....The above videos are just examples of what is needed to stream. Sure, you can just use a webcam if you wanted but keep in mind the quality is going to suck and if you want to pull in follower and subscribers, the quality needs to be top notch if you expect people to sit there for an extended period of time. With that said, I don't see myself dropping 10k anytime soon. Although his setup looks sweet for sure.

Le French Stallion Plays Comfortably Numb (Rocksmith 2014)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-E5EMgbbAw&list=PLp2e7UfInEgmB-5r4rtQOEsq-H-mNmQhk&index=22

This guy is one of the Twitch Streamers I follow. The video itself pretty much sums up his kind of humor. It's f*cking hilarious. Watch it all the way through.

Ya know, I seem to be gravitating to streamers on Saturday Nights more and more because that seems to be the night most bands choose to perform Live from their living rooms, garages or wherever. These guys are not professionals at all. You can tell just by how off they are. They are usually just a group of friends that get together and perform any way they can. I'm not being mean to say they will never make it in the sense of a typical paid professional that you or I perceive a professional to be. As bad as most of them are (sing out of tune, instruments out of tune, bad original songs, horrible PA sound, etc....), I still come away entertained none the less. There is something just very cool about seeing them doing this. They probably know they have a lot of work to do and get a lot of negative feedback but at least they are f*cking doing it! They are doing what they love and are having the time of their lives and in that, it's inspiring to see.

So, it looks like they just created a Bob Ross Twitch account and they have been running a marathon of all his episodes, which I've been watching on and off today. That really isn't news in itself. What is news is that it's averaging 46,000 live viewers right now. Why is that news? Well, for starters, you can find all the episodes on YouTube and the other thing is most people on Twitch, if they have a huge following still have paltry numbers by comparison. I follow a few very popular streamers and I've never seen them even go past 10k at any given time. So. Bob Ross wins! He still amazes me with his skill.

I peeked in a few times the other day.  I'm sure the huge numbers are a self-fulfilling prophecy.  Lots of people are watching because lots of people are watching, it's an event, you gotta take part in it.

TWITCH'S LONGEST DONATION TRAIN EVER!!!

Daaaaaaaaaayumn!!! I've never seen anyone get a run like French Stallion does here. When he says this is the longest donation train ever, that's exactly what it is. Easy money....hand over fist. I couldn't help but laugh right along with him as the donations reached an absurd amount, one after another.
