Well, I'm going back and restarting Mass Effect 2. I never picked this up during it's initial release. I got it off Amazon for 9 bucks around the time of Red Dead Redemption when I picked that up along with it. I played a little bit of ME2 and got 1% complete and ended up playing RDR soon after since that was my first priority. Now that I'm taking a break from Batman: Arkham City, it's time for me to really get in deep with ME2, especially before Mass Effect 3 drops.

Okay, up till I get on the Normandy, I just wasn't feeling this game at all. But everything after the Normandy has taken on a different feel for me, in a good way. I like being able to explore the ship. I've headed to Omega (I think it's Omega) on the Solar System Map. Now, I'm heading to Afterlife on foot.

But it's not all good for me at the moment as far as gameplay goes. Coming off of Gears of War 3, this game kind of feels old and outdated already, even though I know it's not all that old. I'm not particularly fond of the cover system, the weapons (so far), targeting, etc...I still have to get use to using the Menu Wheel to pull up different stuff that I need. I know I'm spoiled coming off of games like Gears 3 and Arkham City that have a certain game flow as well as game mechanics. It's just going to take me a little bit of time to get use to another set of combo's and all that jazz.

You have to remember ME 2 IS NOT a shooter regardless of the shooter elements it has. Its been classified by most as an "Action RPG". The combat is MUCH improved over ME1 and the rpg elements have been trimmed down or streamlined, depending on who you ask. You have to use your squad mates always have someone that can lift enemies in the air or throw them, Mordrin incinerate is very useful. I played as a soldier in ME1 and carried him over to 2 and plan on taking him on through to 3.

The further I've gotten into the game, I began to realize that's exactly what it is.
