Well, since disabling the 'Fade' Option, I haven't had any Ghost Images getting stuck on the Desktop. I hope this is in fact a permanent solution.

Menu command stuck on screen (http://superuser.com/questions/57016/menu-command-stuck-on-screen)

The above link has an example of the Ghost Image in the first Image at top of the page if you guys don't know what I'm talking about.

So, I was curious if this has ever happened to you where a menu command gets stuck on your desktop, leaving a 'ghost-like' image from the last prompt you clicked on. This has been annoying me for a while now. It was random and came out of nowhere. Now it seems to be happening with more regularity. Is there something that can fix this?

I found a temporary work around to the problem when I get the Ghost image. All you have to do is go to Control Panel > Appearance and Themes > Display > Settings and then switch the depth to 16-bit, then back to 32-bit. This will erase the Ghost image. Before I came across this solution, I would have to reboot the computer every time to "get rid" of it. But I would like a permanent solution.

I did try the option below, but I'm still getting the Ghost Image.

Right Click on My Computer > Properties > Advanced Tab > Performance Settings > Un-check 'Fade Out Menu Items After Clicking and then it Apply
