I dig Snazzylabs... he buils a lot of interesting Hackintoshes, the kind I wish I could build.
-
The first two I've been following for awhile...the third one (PC breakdown), I've never heard of before. Looks interesting.

In a bid to never have sex again, Linus Tech Tips and... another channel I'd not heard of... had their wives build a PC. I thought this was entertaining on its own...

But then I saw this dismantling video of the new Mac Pro and holy cow... I cannot believe how easily that thing comes apart and back together again. If I'm watching this right (maybe I'm not) there are almost no wires, you just plug it in, things pop out, things have protective shields... I don't know if Apple's ever actually made a PC before but holy crap, the amount of thought that went into the little things is astounding. It's just a shame that with it being so easy to disassemble that there's proprietary cr*p in there... I can't wait to see what happens when modders start playing around with it, how much it can be modified and souped up with the non-expensive stuff.

oh yeah for sure
I hate sales tax!!!!!!!

The case that I went with is no longer available. Support says it won't be back in stock until next week. No sweat, gives me more time to do more research. One thing I made effort to learn is that the company is based in Utah...and that means no tax charge on the PC. I got them to confirm this. Nice...that will save about 250 bucks on that alone.
-
oh yeah for sure.
that is an amazing thing and something I can nearly guarantee (see what I did there) will come in handy...if not 2-5 years down the road...later
:)

Still working on different configs. One thing I have to point out, XIDAC offers Lifetime Warranty on your PC. No one offers that anywhere else that I know of. iBuypower, Cyberpower, etc....standard is 2 years. I talked to one of their Customer Reps and he said this Lifetime Warranty covers everything. The only cost comes in shipping. This Warranty is a BIG PLUS in my book.

You want top gear mate. You'll work it out!
-
God Lord! So, doing my configure of the mid-tier option and even before I got half way through the config, the sticker price is already at $2,500....and that without any Hard Drives. WTF!
-
Nice get what's yours!!

Xidax (https://www.xidax.com/desktops/x-6/?saveconfig=209072)
Stumbled across this site. The cases look cool. Not as cool as the Snowblind. But I'm gonna spend some time configuring my build and see what kind of price tag it brings and how it compares to the other sites.
-
Yeah....I watched it once....or twice today.
-
you're looking at videos of that computer right now aren't you???
hahaha
I watched the full video above today...it's really killer and I think for streaming would really enhance your channel and viewers would be DROOLING!
no pressure though
:) ;D
-
ok I am diving back in...going to watch some videos on this computer!
-
I'm just wanting to get a steal of a deal. If I can get this in the $1,500 range and still get the free swag that I can turn around and sell on eBay.....now THAT would be a big score.
-
I want that fried chicken and kale recipe...screw the computer!
;)
looks awesome man...finally you'll have the fastest machine on the planet...and she looks hot too!

The Most Interesting Gaming PC - iBuyPower Snowblind
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1N-8Vd-3DE&t=56s
Pretty good review and yes, this is still on my Buy List. I talked to a rep yesterday as they have a Pre-Black Friday sale going on and he told me to wait for the actual Black Friday Sale as it will be an even better deal. So, check out the review above and drool at the PC.

So, THIS was just announced today. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn! Yup, you can buy it now. On their site right now doing a custom build to see what kind of dent this is going to do to my wallet.

I'm now in the process of assembling my PC on a few different websites to see what best suits me and who has the better deal. More news as it comes.....

If I had the space and the dosh to spare, this is what I'd like to make. Not a Hackintosh, but a Frankenmac, a proper one but with just better components.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNd5_kxpPc4
Seems much easier to do than a whole Hackintosh with a lot less guesswork, but I still wonder if/when Mac's new desktop comes out and what those specs will be. We're SO overdue, and they're ignoring that demo at their peril.

Ultimate DIY Desk PC - THE FINALE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWhyXjAXOrA
I was certain we had a PC exclusive thread. I guess not. Anyway, this is f*cking SICK! I WANT SOMETHING LIKE THIS NOW!!! SICK SICK SICK! One thing I would definitely change would be to replace the glass with plexiglass for obvious reasons. Everything else....I'd keep exactly as is.
