Rush Hour is clearly the best of the 3 films and a lot of it has to do with the fresh spin on the Buddy Cop genre where Lee (Jackie Chan) is a fish out of water on American soil, paired up with Carter (Chris Tucker). I think both of them played off each other extremely well which made this one a joy to watch. Even though this is a great flick, it's not their best work. I still think that Tucker's best role can be found in The Fifth Element (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/dvd's-blu-rays/the-fifth-element-(1997)/msg9196/#msg9196). And although the fight sequences in Rush Hour are good, it's not even close to being Jackie's best. For that, you have to go with Drunken Master 2 (also known on American shores as The Legend Of Drunken Master).
I'm not what you would call a Brett Ratner fan. Far from it. But I will give him props for finally doing what no one else had been able to do: Break Jackie to a wider American audience. Sure, Chan had a minor hit with Rumble In The Bronx, but he was still largely ignore by the majority of the public at large.
This is definitely a Buy. I own it and so should you. Stick around for the end credits to check out the Blooper reel. Funny stuff.
