The lead singer NAILS everything about David Lee Roth and the Bass player looks exactly like Mikey. These guys are good!

I wonder if these guys will ever come back to SD. I'd go check them out live for sure. They need to swing by Typhoon Saloon so I can just walk down there and skip parking and all that  s h i t .

Gene kinda looks like Gene....I thought Paul was decent too....not the best I'd ever seen but it was not bad

I thought "Paul" was better than decent. He nails the vocal ticks that is the hallmark of his singing. Goosebumps.

I use to go specifically to see some tribute bands of artists I liked. Rush, Poison, etc. None tried to emulate the band look. After that shock, I just got into the music, which most nailed.

Kiss tribute though would call for the whole package.

KISS couldn't be done unless you went the whole nine yards. Well, technically it could be done half ass, no makeup or stage production and just have it be about the songs. But I think you would only be getting half the experience. As much as the fans want to see the pyro, I do believe those that put on the makeup to play the characters do in fact have just as much fun playing those roles.

With a Rush Tribue band, I'm guessing there is very little need or desire to look like them, but definitely want to sound like them.

Beatle Tribute bands are a hoot. You have those that do the vintage Bowl Haircut era and then you have the others that do the All-Beard years in the last years of existence.

These guys come through St. Louis about once a year. I saw them years ago, in a small bar. Back then it was just recreating the music. They didn't even remotely look or act like the real band. Looks like that evovled.

I'm going to see these guys this weekend. They slowly have elevated themselves from just playing here and there in bars to ticketed events.
