That was a hell of a Season premiere. Welcome back Bones! This is one of the best episodes of the series. Right now, I can't think of a better one at all. The nervous tension was thick and had me on the edge of my seat. I liked that they showed a different side to mild-mannered Hodgin's and that he was in fact willing to kill Pelant. Everything went by the book and they end up solving the case and clearing Brennan's name and I was actually kind of bummed that they wrapped this arc up rather quickly.
Hold up, Nellie. That was my first impression. But they actually throw us a curveball when Pelant is released from custody with a new identity. So, this is definitely going to be an ongoing arc. Maybe. I'm pretty sure that Brennan's father, played by Ryan O'Neal will kill him once and for all. When that is, it's anybody's guess.

Kind of odd to see Booth and Brennan butting heads as much as they were. Sure, they have their moments, but not like this. So, having them questioning the bickering married couple at the end, it was literally holding up a mirror to their own relationship.

I like this one. Not because they were chasing a Contract killer who targeted one guy, but kills his twin by mistake, but because Sweets pretty much carried this episode with Booth being benched and having to work from his desk. It was good because they gave Sweets a new temporary partner who looks like they have grooming as a possible love interest, even though he is already involved with Daisy. Really not sure what's happening there, but there is potential for Danielle Panabaker to return as Agent Olivia Sparling.

Very good and at times very funny episode. I liked 'A' Story involving animal trafficking and the 'B' Story about Sweets and Daisy moving in together. What was funny though was Bone's constantly campaigning for a potential Presidential run. As great as this episode was, there was a very odd and very out of character moment for Bones. She finds the Siberian Tiger shot and buried and being feasted on by Vultures and becomes enraged and mournful. We are into Season 8 and every single episode involves some innocent person(s) being snuffed out and she shows no emotion, but here she finds a Tiger and loses it completely. Very out of character.

The victims remains were nasty. I will give the creator of Bones props in their ability to get this stuff on the air. Even CSI isn't as brutal when it comes to showing gross carnage. It wasn't all doom and gloom. The dance sequence at the end with Brennan and Sweets was funny.

This was a fantastic episode for a couple of reasons. The first was that they finally had all the Interns in the same episode. I always wondered if they would have do this. Well, we can check this one off the list. The only Intern missing was Daisy, but given the fact that she and Sweets broke up, it's no surprise that she no longer works at the Jeffersonian, even though it's never been said that she doesn't. Just implied through my own head. The other thing making this a great episode is that it actually had something to say and meant something, given that it relates to 9/11 (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/general-discussion/911-296/msg1483/#msg1483).
This is easily the best episode ever in the series and definitely one of the most moving. Very emotional.

Ha. I never saw that coming, but it's a great twist revealing that Arastoo and Cam have been carrying on a relationship with each other for God knows how long. It's weird to see a Boss and an Intern on the same level outside of work. Elsewhere, a montage scene with a rap song? That was very CSI-like. I can't recall Bones ever doing a montage scene like that, that was clearly taken from another forensic show.

A very interesting and unusual episode shown entirely through the eyes of a deceased victim who's soul is still lingering, waiting for the gang to solve the mystery of his death. Well, that's what we are first led to believe. It's actually something else that 'Colin' is hanging around for. To tell you what it is would definitely ruin the entire episode. Definitely stick with it to the very end to find out. Cyndi Lauper returns as Avalon, the psychic that has a connection with Colin. Most of the shots that take place in this episode used one, long continuous shot which was kind of jarring, especially for a TV series. But it was definitely warranted given the POV of the character.

I never thought I'd see the day where the show would go straight for laughs with a sight gag involving Bones and Booth trying out for a TV Dance Competition show. They were so ridiculously bad in their "dancing ability", which made this all the more funnier. Very, very funny episode.

Watching both Edison and Bones get territorial over the Homo Sapien and Neanderthal bones was very humorous. But hearing how the mixed family died was not. And finding out what the last act of the 3 year old did was heartbreaking. So sad.

This was a fantastic episode that saw the return of Pelant. Finally!! It took way to long for the show to pick up the story line last seen earlier in the season. The entire episode was pretty intense, edge of your seat, nail biting fun as Booth and the rest of the gang do their best to hunt him down. Given that the last time they did this, Pelant had the jump because he had access to their computers. This time they went completely off the grid, going to so far as to using an enigma machine to converse with each other. The ending was gnarly, seeing Pelant stitching up his down face from a gun shot wound, courtesy of Booth. The story continues.......

I'm glad to see Daisy return to the show. I was uncertain whether or not Carla Gallo would be returning to Bones, given her role on Californication. So, it was a nice surprise when she popped up. I hope she doesn't end up disappearing between episodes though. I'd like to see her get back into more of a consistent rotation on the show.

I liked that they gave Angela something to do other than working in the lab. So, having her pose as a Roller Derby Girl to sneak onto the team to investigate a crime was a nice plus. I just wish that they ended the episode where we actually got to perform one show in the Derby itself. She looked hot decked out in her skates and high socks. More please!

I've heard of Ice Bullets before, but never Blood Bullets. I did a search and didn't come up with anything to give credence to the idea of it. Anyway, interesting episode. I really liked the scenes involving Tempy and her Mother on the other side. Cool to see Brooke Langton pop up as the mother. And as always, very cool to see Ryan O'Neal. I which he would be on the show more than he is, which isn't a whole lot.

The whole Cam-Michelle-Finn thing regarding keeping secrets from each other was pretty funny. I got a kick out of watching Cam walking away from "catching" Finn and Michelle with a smirk on her face as if she just made the biggest sale of her life. Priceless. The case itself was pretty interesting, using all the photos posted online from the house party to track both kids movement throughout the party.

As odd as the new intern is, I like the character. I like the fact that there is someone actually smarter than Dr. Brennan and challenges her on everything and doesn't even back down when it's thrown back in their face. This is a complete 180 from the other interns that more or less kiss the ground she walks on.

Pretty interesting choice for a story arc involving refugee / former child soldiers. But it was obvious right from the start that the 'Big Bad' was the janitor that let Booth and Sweets into the victims room. No surprise there. But the best part about this one wasn't the main story, but Cam and Arastoo announcing to everyone at work that they are in fact a couple. That's the best part? No. The best part was Hodgins mockingly clapping in approval. Haha. Funny.

Didn't particularly care for the case they were working on. I was more focused on whether or not Sweets would actually move out on his own having just "found" a new apartment to share with two unnamed people to share the rent with. The joke (which I didn't even see coming) was that they were both girls, one named Janet and the other named Chrissie. Yup. Three's Company. Hahaha. I'm surprised that neither Booth or Brennan made any comments regarding the fact that one of the girls looked like Daisy, which says a lot about Sweets nothing being 100% over Daisy.

It looks like they may be adding Dave Thomas to the series as a potential recurring character as a love interest for Caroline. I thought their scenes together was the best part of the episode. The way they were flirting with each other was very funny. Also, where was John Francis Daley as Sweets? I can't remember the last time he was a no-show in an episode. I don't think he's never not been on the show since joining the series. Strange.

The case invoking Judge Trudy (not Judy) was someone interesting. But I found the subplots to be far more entertaining. The one involving Brennan's and Booth little kid biting another kid and Brennan going to great lengths to prove her innocence was good....especially the eventual outcome. Brennan gets bit by the kid. Haha. The other subplot that I got a kick out of was Finn's Grandmother's hot sauce. Oh, just go watch it. It's a good episode.

As always, the cases have become secondary and non-existent for me lately. It's the personal stories that have the most attraction. This one was good in bringing Seely's mother into the picture, one that has been long gone for 24 years. She is played by Joanna Cassidy, who I have not seen in anything since Blade Runner. I know she was in Roger Rabbit, but other than that, I can't think of one thing she has done since then.

With they show already killing off an Intern a few seasons ago, I really didn't know which way they were going to go with Arastoo. Overall, this was a fantastic episode in a race against time to save one of their own who is infected with a mutated virus. An already great episode bumps up a couple of notches when Bones, in an effort to coerce the anti-serum, jabs an "infected" needle into his neck. Ha. It was awesome. Bones ftw!!!

Pelant returns and creates even more havoc. I thought it was interesting in how he was able to get a surrogate to do his bidding for him, thus keeping him sheltered from the FBI. So, Brennan finally proposes to Booth after such a long wait. But even this had a twist because Pelant is still controlling the game, keeping Booth from accepting her proposal. I'm sure she will figure it out long before anyone else knows what's happening. The chase at the end to save Sweets life was done really well. Had me on the edge of my seat.
