Freddy vs. Jason. The name of the title says it all and you should read between the lines that both series, if they hadn't already done so, have jumped the shark. I haven't seen this since it was first released on DVD back in 2003. I had totally forgotten everything about the movie when it started. As the movie wore on....dragged on.....whatever, I started to remember bits and pieces and how much I hated it the first time around. It really is a boring movie to sit through and the ending never did live up to or justify wasting 90 minutes to get there.

I didn't remember any of the actors that populated this movie back then. It wasn't until this second time around did I recognize them, namely Jason Ritter. But the biggest surprise I got from this was seeing an unknown Evangeline Lilly as one of the kids in the school hallway. I never knew she was in this. It's a blink and you'll miss scene, but I got a kick out of "discovering" her in this without being told to do so.

This is definitely a Skip. The movie only gets 2 Stars, one for the Skinny Dipping and Shower Scene and one for Lilly and Ritter being in this.

Yea, both series went way beyond their usefulness. I think I remember the only thing they were hanging their hat on was The Royal Rumble... Who would win this fight.

Phhhhhhtttttt

Who cares

The "fight" was just way to comical on Freddy's part. Having him do wrestling moves, piggyback wailing and dangling from that Cement Mixer just deflated what should have been the ultimate smackdown. The other thing that was dumb was the opening monologue from Freddy telling us why he disappeared and how he would be able to "resurrect" himself and Jason. It wasn't the exposition itself that sucked, it was the fact that they pumped so much reverb into Freddy's voice and dropped it down in octave or two to make him more sinister when in fact it made him look and sound like a kid imitating what a Villain should sound like.
