Freeeeeeeedoooooom! This is the sole purpose of the entire film and what Braveheart is all about. I love this movie for a lot of different reasons. The Cinematography is breathtaking, the directing, editing and music along with the acting of Mel Gibson makes this a pure joy to watch, even if the subject matter is brutal and at times depressing. This is one of the rare instances where I actually agree with the Academy in awarding this film Best Picture of the year. So, you can imagine my confusion when I hear that a lot of people don't like this movie. Much like that of The Patriot (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/dvd's-blu-rays/the-patriot-(2000)/msg14438/#msg14438), this film was embroiled in 'historical inaccuracies" of William Wallace as well as some of the incidents that too place. You're damned of you do and you're damned if you don't.

This is still a Buy for me, in spite of the naysayers. Suck it,  b i t c h e s !!
