Totally not planned, but having just watched Machete (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/dvd's-blu-rays/machete-(2010)/msg16921/#msg16921) last night, this has turned into a little 2 day marathon involving Robert De Niro and Jessica Alba. I didn't know that Alba was even in Little Fockers. At least in this one she is entertaining and not taking herself or the role too seriously. Also, I found her Bra and Panties scene to be infinitely more hotter than her scenes in the other movie. Wait, I'm getting way off track here. This is suppose to be a review about Little Fockers. Okay, changing gears.....
Okay, coming off Meet The Fockers, I had no interest and no expectations for the 3rd installment in the franchise. Overall, the movie for me was better than Meet The Fockers, but only by a slight margin and is kind of misleading. It's just a below average movie with one or two moments that I thought were grin inducing if not outright funny. I think the smartest thing they did was limit Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand roles in this to what amounts as a "cameo". Not having to deal with such manic personalities made this one easier to digest for me. But this is still way off the mark when comparing it to Meet The Parents though. Ben Stiller seemed to be on auto pilot for most of the film. It looked like he was bored. But I guess he is going to have to suck it up for another round as they clearly set up a possible 4th film at the end of this one.
My favorite parts of the movie involved Jessica Alba and for her and her alone, this is worth a Rent. The opportunity to see her do a swan dive in her undies into an empty hole in the ground is definitely worth checking out. If that's not your thing, then definitely Skip this one.
