I am not fond of 'London' episodes. Can't stand them when other shows jump the shark and do an episode set entirely across the pond because the episode never feels organic with the rest of the series. This particular episode managed to sidestep that problem by having only half the cast in London, while the rest remained back in Pawnee. The London scenes weren't as bad as I thought they would be. I thought all the scenes involving Andy were hilarious. I knew that they were going to write Chris Pratt off the show, which sucks because he is a character and will be missed. I know it's not permanent, but his departure is going to leave a pretty big hole in the show.

I also enjoyed the scenes involving Tom trying to find out who his competition is. Great casting by having it turn out to be Jean-Ralphio Saperstein's own father played by Henry Winkler. I hope this turns out to be a recurring character for him. So glad that P&R is back.

The best part about the entire episode was Ron's determination to "get off the grid" and that meant wiping out any traces of his existence, including removing Polaroids of him eating at restaurants. Th lengths he goes to is extremely funny. But other than that, the episode was meh. Even Kristen Bell's guest-star turn on this one really didn't do much. She should have waiting it out and gotten a better role to play. The character itself could and should have been played by any unknown actor. It wasn't showy by any stretch and that's why I think she was wasted in the role.

Casting Sam Elliot as Ron Dunn, the Doppelganger of Ron Swanson was a stroke of genius. I never would have thought of him even guest-staring on the show, let alone as someone that mirrored Ron in every way, shape or form. Almost. Of course the initial meeting would be positive as Ron Swanson would find a kindred spirit. But that was short-lived when he was too much of a hippie. Too bad this was a one and one cameo. It would have been awesome to get a multi-episode arc. I also thought Donna's new assistant was hella funny.

Best part of the episode had to do with Ron getting an official Will drawn up. Everything that came out of Ron's mouth was gold. The other two story lines were meh. Leslie's 'kangaroo court' was weak and Tom trying to get the British Doctor to notice him was weak as well. They can't all be home runs.

Yay for Chris Pratt's return to Parks! Boo for his leaving half way through the episode! I'm not the only one that misses Andy. He brings a lot of the humor to the show. Really wished they had done the bulk of shooting his movie during the early part of Summer so as not to mess with the show. Ack! Best part about this episode beyond his return was Ron's obsession with beating the Hunting Video Game.

Leslie Knope's pumpkins look awesome! Read into that as you see fit. :) Fun episode, but it's kinda strange to be watching a Halloween themed episode 2 1/2 weeks into November. I can't recall what was on the air that preempted Parks and Recreation to push these last two episode back this far into November. Oh well. Drunk Ben and Leslie is Priceless. Having them on the verge of getting a tattoo in the back of a Pawn Shop was really funny. Needs more Donna! Seems like they have given her more in the last two episodes than they have all season. Why she hasn't gotten a bigger push on the show after all these years still mystifies me.

Even when an episode is 'off' by P&R standards, you can always count on Rob Lowe and Nick Offerman to deliver the goods week in and week out and this one was no exception. Who would have thought that going "shopping" for a Baby Crib could turn out to be the best thing about an episode. I always find it humorous in how Chris (Lowe) looks for meaning in everything that happens around him. So watching him hanging on Ron's every word as a life altering event was priceless. Listen up people, you need to savor these last few episodes with Lowe, but the series will inevitably take a HUGE hit once he and Rashida Jones leave the show. I'm already dreading this. Not looking forward to a Rob-and-Rashida-less P&R. It already feels somewhat empty without Andy around.

I thought Ben's story was by far the best in this one. From him creation of a new board game called Cones Of Dunshire to his new job and becoming a huge hit with his co-workers to him quitting the very next day (for a better job offer as Pawnee's City Manager). It all worked to perfection and having it come back around to the board game as his parting gift to his co-workers was ....perfection. Leslie and Jamm singing Summer Nights was one for the books too. Haha.

Cool to get Andy back on the show full time. Sure, he was asleep pretty much the entire episode (due to jet lag), and even that produced a good amount of laughs. Overall, it felt like nothing really happened in this episode, and yet it was still satisfying. How is that even possible? That's easy, they have great characters that even the simple things can give us laughs. The trip to Paris at the end was a nice touch. I'm still surprised every time Kristen Bell pops up on the show because each time she does, I keep expecting the previous cameo to be her last. Here's to more cameos from her!

Funny stuff. The best was at the very end when Ron, having just gotten an Employee of the Month Award, takes it to his wood-shop, cuts it into pieces, burns it in a fire, buries the ash and then uses a branch to smooth out the dirt, thus covering up his tracks. Priceless! I thought Ann and Chris waffling on the idea of getting an engagement ring was also very funny. Let's not forget Jerry at the start, choking on his food when he heard about Ann and Chris getting married. Ben's botched prank was also funny.

Thank God they gave Chris and Anne something to do. I was getting worried that they (writers) weren't going to give them anything to do leading up to their departure (next week). So, I thought the whole idea of Anne ranting to everyone at P&R was hilarious. Same goes for Andy's new career as a Kid's Party Singer. The showdown between Ben and Leslie was also funny, especially Ben trying to get out of having to "work" with her.

A nice send off for both Ann & Chris. It hit all the right spots. I liked that the writers used the first meeting of Ann and Leslie to drive the plot for this epispde. Having Leslie finally break ground on the park that she promised Ann all the way back in episode 1 was fitting. I also liked the idea of the guys searching for the perfect gift to give Chris, even if it was just a "box", it was good. Both Rasida and Rob will be missed. I don't know if the show will ever be as good as it was with the entire cast. It's gonna feel a bit empty now.

The episode didn't start out too good. I actually thought it was kinda boring. But mid-way through it, it found it's footing with Ben and Jerry (Larry, Gerry, or whatever 'erry' he is going by) had to use up all the "couples" event coupons since Leslie was off trying to save a 50 year wedding anniversary. The ending was great when Leslie presents Ben with the Iron Throne (from Game of Thrones).

I feel that fans of P&R got gypped in that Ron Swanson suddenly had a son magically appear in this episode. Yes, we all knew that he just got married and had a kid on the way, but to have him born kind of took away a classic episode that could and should have centered around a calm, cool and collected Ron suddenly losing it with his baby about to be born. It would have been gold to see Ron suddenly out of step and needing his friends to lean on to get through such a chaotic moment. Sigh. Ironically, the best parts about this episode involved Ron and his newborn doing repair work on the 3rd floor of the P&R building. The rest of the episode....meh.

Well, my biggest fear about the departure of Rob Lowe and Rashida Jones is starting to come true. It's just not going to be as good as before. Second straight subpar episode. It has a couple of funny moments, but overall, it wasn't memorable at all. And what really made this one less than the standard they set is that a good chunk of it is literally 'fart jokes'. Way too many actual 'fart sound fx' in a last ditch effort to get some cheap laughs. It comes off as desperate. I really hope they can find their footing before they just stop caring about the show and think this is what fans of P&R want. I don't.

Without a doubt, this episode has the single greatest fart gag of all time. For those that aren't familiar with the show, all the characters take joy and pleasure in picking on Jerry (Jim O'Heir). The mock, torment and make fun of him. So, in a nice twist, Ben befriends Jerry and grows to like him and sees him as an important part of the P&R Team. There is enough bonding between the two that Ben finally sticks up for him and declares his friendship. The punchline to the joke is that Jerry is moved by the gesture, thanks him and promptly bumps into a wall and lets out a huge fart. Funniest thing ever! Hahaha. Bonus points for a cameo from Rashida Jones.

With the exception of last week, the last few episodes fell like the writers have run out of ideas of what to do with the show. And with Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe gone, they seem like a boat without a sail. This episode kind of writes itself in that Leslie is looking for a protege to take over for her once she leaves Pawnee. But even that seemed somewhat strained. It was an okay episode, but it wasn't nearly as good as their best stuff in years past.

Damn funny, from everyone involved. You knew this was going to be a laugh-out-loud episode from the very first scene with Andy having what can only be described as an epileptic sneeze attack. Had I been drinking milk when that came on, I guarantee you it would have flown out of my nose. As funny as that scene was and Andy was throughout, and you have to say the same about a purple-mouth, drunk Ben, the MVP goes to Craig. He has been consistently funny with his temper outburst and this one in particular was gold as he tries to impress Tom with his wine tasting abilities. I love how Leslie's news about being pregnant dovetails with Ben realizing he is ready to start a family.

So, it looks like they are borrowing a page from Friends with the announcement that Leslie is having Triplets and I'm okay with that. It will definitely add to the insanity of the show with having to juggle 3 babies and we are already seeing that right out of the gate as Ben tries to come to terms with the news. Too bad that Chris and Anne aren't in the equation anymore because that would have been a great story line to play off of. I liked Andy's story of trying to keep Leslie's secret from April. Going camouflage and trying to blend into the wall mural was pretty good too. Where was Tom? I can't recall an episode where he wasn't on.

One of the greatest episodes of one of the best comedies of all time. The Season Finale was full of surprises and most importantly, it actually kept me guessing till the very end. The writing was top notch as they had me convinced that Leslie and Ben were in fact off to greener pastures with a new job opportunity for her. It's the way they set it up, denied it and then had her finally realize that it was an offer she couldn't refuse. So naturally, they had me right there. The surprise and one that I should have seen coming a mile away because they actually foreshadow it a couple of episodes back with Ron remodeling the 3rd floor because he was bored. Turns out this is the new home of the Parks and Recreation crew. And that means everyone is returning. Yay!!

Another twist and one that totally knocked me on my ass is that the epilogue of the series actually jumps 3 years later and we see the P&R gang hard at work, which led to a very funny and very unexpected cameo by Jon Hamm, who was playing someone very similar to his iconic role Don Draper from Mad Men. He wasn't the only cameo of note to make it into the Season Finale. There was of course Wilco, Ginuwine, The Decembrists, Letters to Cleo and of course the one that you couldn't escape during the promos leading up to this one was Michelle Obama. Along with these cameos, it also saw the return of some of P&R's best recurring characters played to perfection by Ben Schwartz, Jenny Slate and Henry Winkler as the Saperstein clan takes over. Can't wait for Season 7 to start!

A couple more freakin' months for you.... gonna be ages for me, I just finished season six a couple of weeks ago.

Did you happen to notice that throughout the last season, there were question mark stickers popping up all over the place?  Aubrey Plaza's character took that big stack of them in "Gin It Up" and there were a slew of them all over that episode, but apparently they kept popping up throughout the rest of the season (something I love about this show is the continuity... you'll notice Chris Pratt keeps that newspaper article about him catching that possum up at the shoe shine stand, and later on the wall next to his desk).
