I loved Young Guns when it came out in the theater. As I remember it, this was the first movie that made me want to run out and go read more about anyone and in the case of this one, Billy The Kid. Sure, I knew who he was. The legend that is. But the movie made me want to get to the real truth of the myth. Young Guns can best be described as 'The Rat Pack Meets The Old West'. I think because of who is involved in the movie: Emilio Estevez, Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips, Dermot Mulroney, Casey Siemaszko. It probably doesn't get the respect it deserves. There were no bad performances from anyone within the cast, it's just that they brought a lot of baggage into the movie and therefore get lumped in as a 'Rat Pack' films.

I've seen the movie way too many times over the years, be it on Cable TV or DVD. Still a great movie. Very entertaining and definitely worth a Rent. Along with the Rat Pack, there is also Terrance Stamp, Brian Keith, Terry O'Quinn, Patrick Wayne and Jack Palance along for the ride as well.
