Stumbled onto Mr. Robot a few days ago and it f*cking kicked major ass. I wasn't expecting much and came away from the first episode thinking this could be the best new show for 2015. If the rest of the season can maintain what they established in the extended hour long episode, they have a sure-fire hit. I implore you guys to check this out. It may be a TV series, but it looks and feels like a Big Screen feature with fantastic writing and finally the breakout role that has been eluding Rami Malek thus far. Since this series revolves around the world of hacking, it's going to take on the Thriller mentality. So, if you're a fan of that genre, you are definitely going to dig the first episode. Christian Slater stars as Mr. Robot. I firmly believe he has finally found the series he has been looking for.

It's on USA Network. As for when, I have no idea. I caught the first episode on Demand. It just started last week, so you can still check it out.

So, apparently when I watched the first episode of Mr. Robot, it was a preview episode meant to get people on board before the show actually debuted on the air. This was a couple of weeks early and I kept waiting for the 2nd and 3rd episodes to be uploaded on Roku before realizing that it hadn't aired until a couple of days ago. Anyway, while looking for information on the show, I've read a few reviews from critics/insiders and they too have been raving about Episode 1. As I said in my own review, this could and should be the BIG new series of the Summer. I hope people watch it. Now hurry up and air the second episode already!!!!

It's pretty awesome that they already renewed the series based on the reaction to the pilot.  It's gonna go a long way to instilling audience confidence in the series.

I gave it a shot. It's not for me. Like Blackhat I recently watched, this is way to technical. And while I think Robot did a better job of keeping a story, it was still a lot of "Code".

Finally watched the second episode and it delivered in that the writing, acting and story is all there. My biggest fear was that there would be a big drop from the Pilot. Those fears have been laid to waste. After just two episodes, I can see the writing pattern of how they are going to split the A Story and the B Story. The A Story is of course the big event involving the hacker group taking down the big corporations. The B Story (so far) will have Elliot taking down bad guys that will benefit someone else. I like that Elliot has to make a personal sacrifice in choosing to do the deed or walk away. In this case it's getting back at the only drug dealer that can supply his drug of choice. Send him away and he loses access to said drugs. I hope they continue onward with this type of A/B Story narrative. The next personal mission will obviously involve tracking down the other hacker that's peeping on his Chick-Friend via laptop camera.

Totally digging the series. I noticed that the shows creator has written the first 3 episodes and this obviously plays into how the tone has been consistent thus far. I'm curious if he will write every episode because this is his baby. But can he actually pull it off without using any outside writers or a writing staff? Aaron Sorkin is the only one I can think of that did it all. As for this episode, it was kind of f*cked up in revealing that CEO's (or anyone that wants to be the Big Fish) have the biggest flaw. Really not sure what to make of Tyrell Wellick. The whole 'tying up his pregnant wife with a gag ball' is disturbing to say the least. I like Elliot and Shayla becoming a 'couple'. Take two totally f*cked up, flawed people and you have something great to write with.

Kind of a f*cked up episode and totally by design. This one was all about Elliot kicking his morphine addiction and suffering through multiple hallucination as he goes through withdrawal. I really didn't know where they were taking it. Nothing much really happens in regards to the larger scope of the show other than revealing some repressed feelings Elliot has. Still a solid episode that is sure to step up for the next one as they prepare to take on Steel Mountain. One thing I've noticed so far is that each episode always comes back from a real commercial break with a scene that plays like one. If you aren't paying attention and I'm guessing most people aren't, you will get duped into thinking you're still in a commercial break. It's clever in how they keep doing this.

What a great f*cking episode. Half of it centered around Elliot and the gang "breaking" into Steel Mountain. This is basically a heist episode and I love anything and everything when it comes to Heist flicks. So, this was a bonus for me and executed very well. Elliot tearing into the Tour Guide was a bit harsh though. I should have seen it coming, but the ending with the drug-pusher-guy seeking revenge against Elliot for getting him incarcerated was an unexpected twist, especially now that Shayla is in harms way. I finally figured out why there is a piece of music they have been underscoring scenes has had a very comforting feeling for me. It's the same (or slight variation) as heard in Three O'Clock High (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/dvd's-blu-rays/three-o'clock-high-(1987)/msg18157/#msg18157) and I absolutely love it.

Oh fuuuuuuuck! This episode was f*cking EPIC! This was on par with some of the best Breaking Bad episodes ever. The series itself has always had that BB vibe going for it in spite of having nothing in common by way of content. But it's definitely there and this episode in particular was riviting in the same way that Breaking Bad always was and still is. I really didn't know how Elliot was going to pull off hacking Vera (the drug dealer guy) out of Prison. Their whole exchange in the visitor's room was f*cking awesome. I love Elliot's terms of condition and I seriously thought he had the upper hand. The ending had me holding my breath the entire time because it was intense. So, is Vera going to be this series 'Gus Fring'? I think so. With what happened at the end, Elliot now has his white whale to hunt.....and then kill.

After the monumental episode before this one, I was expecting it to ramp up, picking up immediately from the events that unfolded at the end. That didn't happen. The story actually jumps a month ahead from said events and we are left with the team disbanded, looking for a way to join back up again. In the mean time, Angela works a deal with the man that ruined her life and Tyrell kills his competitor's wife. Really not sure what the deal is with this character. The guys is clearly f*cked up. Overall, the episode was good. It's not until the final 5 minutes when Elliot confesses to his Shrink that he has hacked her and knows everything about her. I can only imagine what Krista is feeling, having to hear every personal sordid detail and just sit there and take it. Really curious how this plays out in the next episode. Elliot wanted to make a real connection and she is lonely, so you would expect they would both gravitate to each other. I can't see that happening, especially on her end as she's be betrayed and violated of epic proportions.

I purposely waited long enough for Roku to have the final 3 episodes up so that I could make a day of it. It's been a Mr. Robot marathon and I'm glad I chose to watch these back to back to back because a lot of mind blowing sh*t happens here. Prior to launching into the final 3 episodes, the series itself more or less invites you to go back and re-watch from the start, which I had every intention of doing. But the bombshell that drops at the end of Episode 8 makes you want to go back. But its the even BIGGER bombshell in Episode 9 that will have you questioning everything you have seen thus far and demands that you go back to re-watch just to see if you can pick up any clues so that you can. I doubt you guys are watching this and in off-chance that you eventually get around to this at a later date, I will not saying anything about the reveals as it's pretty f*cking HUGE. Overall, I think that Mr. Robot has been nearly flawless and I can't wait for Season 2 to kick off. Be sure to stick around post-credits for the Season Finale as there is one last scene to play out.

Just finished season one yesterday.  Totally dug it from top to bottom.  Though the whole time, I kept thinking "boy, Rami Malek looks a LOT like Raul Julia."  I could totally see him as Gomez Addams in ten-fifteen years.

Also, I wasn't aware of this, but apparently there's a conspiracy theory going around that Sam Esmail might not be real either, his name is an anagram of "mass e-mail" and his full name is an anagram of "MT alias is me" (empty alias is me), and if there was ever a show that could pull off something like that, it's this one.

Im real curious to know what happens in season two now, with S1 showing that awesome "cult-like" meeting of Evil Corp and the secret retreat with the top 1% of the 1%, we're going into some interesting territory where these mass paranoid theories might prove to be true.  Also curious to see how NY bounces back from financial anarchy, we already saw issues with people not being able to use their credit cards, with Eliot having the trouble with the parking lot, what happens when people can't pay their rent or their bills or anything else, what happens when the cash in their pockets runs out?
