As I mentioned in my review for Season 1, I felt that Orange is the new Black was too sanitized, with no serious threat of any kind. Well, I think the writers probably took it to heart and decided to "fix" it for this season and it came off great. This is what I was hoping for in Season 1. This season definitely justified the accolades being heaped on it. There was addition by subtraction by bring in Lorraine Toussaint to play Vee, giving us a serious threat throughout the season that was missing last season. Also, as funny as Pablo Schreiber is as George 'Pornstache' Mendez, reducing him to just a couple of episodes took the comedic angle out, thus making it more drama-heavy. Enjoyed all the storylines, especially the flashback scenes of the selected inmates. The ending was poetic justice. Escaping in the van and running over escaping Vee was priceless! Highly recommend this as a Buy. Can't wait to get my hands on Season 3 when it comes out.

I 'finished' season 2 with my wife last week, before moving onto the new season. It's alright. I just amazed how they can find some of most ugly women in the world, and ORITNB is still a puffy kind of show.

By the by, I must have fell asleep a little bit in the last episode of season 2, cause when we started with ep 1/season 3, apparently a lot of big stuff went down I did not catch.

Lesson learned: DON'T MISS THE SEASON FINALE OF SEASON 2
