Given the universal praise heaped on Sicario, I was very very pumped to see this for myself. Yes, the movie is good, but in my eyes, it is very overrated. It has been called the 'Best Movie of 2015'. I respectfully disagree. There are a couple of good sequences that get the blood pumping, but if you look at the story as a whole, it's pretty f*cking thin. Furthermore, for the main character as played by Emily Blunt, she has the most obscure character arc. Does she really even have one at all? Cardboard comes to mind. The middle part of the flick comes to a crawl. The pacing was just way off to carry it into the 3rd Act. As I said, good....but certainly not great. Personally, I know I will never watch it again. Worth a Rent and nothing more.
