Sheesh! I'm not posting Episodes 1 and 2 because those came out back in July, and Episode 3 finally is back on Hulu. Yes, the show was delayed again by Hulu. But 2 months? What the hell?

Kind of an odd episode where they benched Pete and Myka at the Wareshouse to solve the puzzle of how they ended up in bed together, while Artie and Claudia head off into the field to investigate a computer virus that turns people into clay. It was cool to have Lindsay Wagner (The Bionic Woman) return. I hope that her character gets more and more screen time. Nice to see her working again, even if it is somewhat limited.

Update: I just saw that she has another show called Alphas that is set in the same universe of Warehouse 13 and Eureka. Now, I must check out Alphas.

Jeri Ryan as Pete's Ex-Wife makes a nice addition to the cast, even if it is just one episode. I'm pretty sure she will pop up again on the series in the future. As for this episode, she really was the Queen For A Day when she was stung by a bee artifact that let her create her own drones.

H.G. Wells returns as the story spanning a century focuses on the hunt for a Rams Horn that can vaporize people. Meh. It was just ok. Certainly not one of their best episodes by a long shot.

Wow. It's common knowledge that the Special FX on this show is pretty cheesy and not one to impress people. But this takes the cake with what came in this episode. If I were on the Special FX team that worked on this show I would be absolutely embarrassed. The FX in question has to do with the virtual reality "animation" style rendering. First off, this technique is about 8 years old and secondly, the exact technique was used as a work-around for those that used Adobe After Effects that were looking to apply some sort of animation rendering to existing footage. It was horrible back then, and it looks even worse today. Why the team decided to use this when there are tons of alternative techniques that give far superior results is just mind boggling.

The entire episode wasn't a complete wash. The ending, which was obvious beforehand that the painting was going to be used as a Trojan Horse inside the Warehouse was interesting, unleashing a swarm of mecha-flys. Also, Claudia finally playing guitar at open mic was good. But it doesn't erase the weakest story ever that came before: Save The Princess.

Myka was way to whiny for my liking here. Going on and on about how she couldn't solve the one case that got her original partner killed and whining even more about how she still can't solve the case. Bah!! Enough! Also, it was obvious that the person behind her partner's demise was one of the Agents that worked on the case.

Funniest sight gag on the show ever was that of Claudia drooling excessively and non-stop after using Pavlov's Bell artifact. Hahaha.

Finally a kick ass episode centering around the mythology of the series. This is something that has been sorely lacking for the entire season and it was much needed to get back to the roots of the show.

Even though the twist was a nice touch, it was painfully obvious to me what the twist was going to be. Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek Voyager) joins the cast as....

Shadows

This episode was kinda "weak", that is until reveal that comes at the end. The story involving Jane and Pete, investigating her memories to find out who could possibly be the one hunting down Regents and trying to take down Warehouse 13 was interesting, but it seemed kind of pointless until you connect the little boy and the man in the wheelchair, who is the one doing the hunting.

So, the man is Walter Sykes (Anthony Michael Hall) and it makes sense now why he has a vendetta against Jane. She took away the artifact that he was in possession of as a kid. An artifact that would have made him a great baseball player. But once the artifact was taken away from him, it left him confined to a wheelchair. I can see how he'd be p*ssed.

The other story involving the Nuclear Binoculars was....boring. Even Alessandra Torresani couldn't save this one.

An okay episode. Kind of a cross between Zombies with a frozen popsicle twist. Not much happened other than looking for the artifact that changes people into mindless flesh eaters. It's not till the end that it gets interesting when they address Agent Jinks on the verge of being recruited to the "dark side".

Stand

I don't know what to make of this Season Finale. A lot of continutiy issues which rest solely on very sloppy writing. Now, I can usually look away from bad writing when it comes to this series, but not when the Finale is based on a game changer. And this is definitely a HUGE game changer for Warehouse 13.

Correction:

Apparently the Stand episode was not the Season Finale. There is one last episode for Season 3 scheduled for December 6, 2011. Very odd to have one last episode appear 2 months after the last one aired. My guess is that it's not a typical episode. Perhaps a "Best of" or something along those lines, because clearly, Stand ended on such a major cliffhanger that it has no choice but to be a Season Finale.

The Greatest Gift

The show runner for this series should be shot and then fired. Why do they insist on having a Christmas episodes after the Season Finale? This was the second such episode to mess with the timeline for the series. It screws up the continuity of the show by having Mrs. Irene Frederic (C. C. H. Pounder) suddenly pop back up into the Warehouse 13 Universe one episode removed from her demised. Had this aired before the finale it would have made more sense. But with her coming back after the fact, The Greatest Gift plays even worse because of it being based on It's A Wonderful Life.
