Title: Hart of Dixie (Season 1)
Post by: ganthc on October 03, 2011, 11:04:25 am
I saw the pilot episode and I thought it was good.  NY doctor comes to podunk Alabama and tries to follow her dreams of becoming a big time surgeon by practicing in a small town first.  The real selling point for the show is Rachel Bilson, who was great as usual.  A nice little twist at the end of the episode made for an interesting surprised and I look forward to watching this show if it lasts.

CW has been running ADs for this show non-stop. I've given it thought to checking it out myself now that I'm looking for new shows to add to my Watchlist. How many episodes is it into the season already? Or did it just debut this past week?

I'm getting deja-vu with the premise. Why does this sound so familiar?

Maybe Doc Hollywood? Of course story was his accident... I'm thinking more of the fish out of water scenario?

But Rachel Bilson is a doctor I wouldn't object to getting a physical from.  ;D

Rachel Bilson does a good job of being Rachel Bilson.  She chews up the screen whenever she's on, and she makes you smile.  She has a great way of pulling off humor with just her facial expressions, and oh, yeah, she's hot.  Similar to Ringer, I am tuning in for the lead actress, and so far I am intrigued by the show.  Love interest has already been set up (he's engaged, of course, to the set up nemesis) in Scott Porter, aka Jason Street from FNL.  Nancy Travis plays the know-it-all receptionist to the practice offering sage advice.  The mayor is played by the drug dealer dad from FNL.
