Well I think the rest of the country could kind of dismiss her rendition as a farce. But you have to remember, San Diego is a military town and we had military personnel in the stands at the time, retired and active. It hit a little too close to home to just shrug it off so to speak.

Well, the reason why she was asked to do it was because the Padres owner at the time was Hollywood Super Producer Tom Werner and his biggest hit TV show and star was Roseanne. The guy was and still is a douche that thinks only of himself. He was positioning his own brand by promoting his shows rather than keeping the interest of the team first. He's the worst owner in Padres history and subsequently traded off all of our biggest players to other teams. After he was done doing that, he sold the team and left us with the aforementioned "legacy". He knew what she was going to do before hand and wanted a "viral" moment that would draw in even more viewers. Ugh.

I heard about this video this morning with the DJ's bringing this backup. I've never seen one minute of a Kardashian anything. Despite any beauty, the whole Kardashian thing makes me sick. I don't get it. But I think this video tells a lot. They live in a whole other world oblivious to the real world.

I think it’s a good thing more of these artists are being called out on their use of lip-synching. I’ve always held the view lip-synching is deception to the audieance. And your rank among celebrities does not matter to me. Doesn’t matter if your Michael Jackson, U2, Elvis Presley or Frank Sinatra. You do not play a recorded track and mouth the words.

Lip-synching says to me either you’re lazy or you really are not that good on your own.
Just ask P!nk for advice.
I know I had a go around with others on the other site due to difference of opinion and perception. If you are OK with paying big bucks to watching a recorded show with your singer just mouthing along… that’s your prerogative. I will not pay for that.

‘Stairway to Heaven’ has been a lot of things over the years — a Led Zeppelin fan favorite, an FM rock radio staple, the bane of guitar-shop employees all over the world — but we think we can safely say you’ve never heard it quite like this.
As of Feb. 5, 2014, the song has been claimed by YouTube user Bold for Jesus, a musician whose religious conversion inspired him to bring others to the gospel by, among other things, uploading videos of himself singing and playing bass. You can read a more in-depth account of his faith at his website, the Way to Heaven, but if all you’ve got is 10 minutes to experience the gist of the Bold for Jesus message, his ‘Stairway to Heaven’ is the place to start.
But be forewarned, rockers — this isn’t the ‘Stairway’ you know by heart. As he explains on the video’s page, “I have not played the real ‘Stairway To Heaven’ song since 1981.” We don’t want to spoil anything for you before you play the Bold for Jesus version, but we can share this much: at the end of the video, you can hear him share some of the details of his former “radical rock ‘n’ roll life,” including the time he slammed a pie on top of a teacher’s head.
Others have branded this the worst ‘Stairway to Heaven’ cover in history, but we’re not willing to go to such extremes; suffice it to say that Bold for Jesus’ take on the song is very…different, and Robert Plant probably doesn’t have anything to worry about.

The only way that could have possibly been more social is if it had cameos from Keyboard Cat, the Evolution of Dance guy boogying in the background, a remixed version of the Dramatic Chipmunk music at some point in the tune, and a cameo by the Chocolate Rain guy.

Damn dude, you’ve posted some video’s that are a challenge to listen to. This was just an icepick in the eardrum piece. All those are truly bad and I know I’ve not listened to a single one all the way through.
I think this piece is highlighting just the tip of the iceberg of the dominant music style for this decade. Not to say there hasn’t been good music. There has, but it takes work to seek it out, because pop crap like this is by far dominating radio and the charts.

I think with the explosion of social media, it's all about sound bites, er songs. Meaning they will cherry pick their fave songs and upload them to their iPods or Tablets. They don't even know what an Album is, unless their are photos in it. Why buy an album when all they have to do is just get it from YouTube or any other social media site. It's feeds in their ignorance of what's out (not out) there.

There's a 28-year-old woman from Santa Barbara, California named Colleen Ballinger, with a YouTube channel called Miranda Sings. And she makes a really good living uploading videos where she covers popular songs . . . and BUTCHERS THEM.
Miranda is the character she plays, and it's basically a parody of all the people who THINK they can sing, and upload videos to show off their "skills".
At the moment, 2.6 million people subscribe to her YouTube page, and she's touring EUROPE . . . and selling out every show.

There were plenty of awful moments last night at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards Show (Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Meghan Trainor) just to name a few. But the absolute worst performance came at the hands of Madonna. What a waste and blown opportunity. This was AWFUL in every sense of the word and it couldn't have ended fast enough. Seriously, did she not even rehearse beforehand? Was she told that she could only sing one song and to sing it exactly like Sinead O'Connor? And was she told that she could close it out with Purple Rain, but only allowed to sing the chorus and ONLY the chorus? WTF! Her sing along with the fans (and Stevie Wonder) was embarrassing. Stevie was okay, she was not. She was totally out of place and did Prince a HUGE disservice.

I was watching Preacher and flipping back only to catch very little of the show. I did catch Arianna Grande. I think she has an amazing voice. Unfortunately she does songs that just bore the hell outta me. I guess some of these artists (Lady Gaga) need to start off with pop to get established and an audience. Then hopefully bloom into better musical choices.
I could see Arianna doing Adele type of material.

P!nk was the ONLY thing that killed it. Awesome performance. It was so off the hook cool, that they kept cutting away to Bieber's reaction and it said everything you needed to know.
Bieber's expression = I truly suck as a performer and singer. I just performed 10 minutes before her and now everyone knows I'm a fraud as P!nk is crushing it and making me look reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally stupid right now.
I never saw Adele's performance. I didn't want to watch anymore so I changed the channel and missed coming back in time for her.

This was all over the news last night as soon as it was happening....not after, but during. Curiosity got the better of me and I had to see (hear) for myself in all it's glory. It's every bit as bad as you have been told. If you look close at her face, you can see fear, real fear that she has been exposed in a way she never thought would happen. I LOVE IT! I would love it even more if she NEVER "performs" again and would just go away. Fraud. What an embarrassment. At least others make an effort when they get caught lip syncing. She does not. Asking your 'fans' to sing for you just proves you have no class and no integrity.
