What a kick ass show. What an amazing performance by the entire group. The fact that they kept up a wicked pace for a full 2 hours with no sign of letting up is pretty damn impressive for a band that's been around as long as them. Malcolm Young, Cliff Williams and Phil Rudd were in the zone that night. They were like a freaking machine. Just watch them work in what is probably my favorite moment of the night during Let There Be Rock. They never missed a beat. And just check out that Set List. It's f*cking sick!!
-
This group will never make it!
That front man's clothes are guitar face alone will scare off the crowds.

Sorry dude, but it sounds like you meant to post in Lady Gaga Live.

Billy Joel and Brian Johnson (AC/DC) - You Shook Me All Night Long - MSG, NY March 21, 2014
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JLJJj-4Xv8
Courtesy of Big Mac.
-
This is just an awesome moment and TOTALLY unexpected to the fans in attendance. You go to see Billy, but you get Brian as well! How f*cking cool is that? Check out the Grannies in the audience rockin' out to the song. Haha. Priceless!
-
fun clip and amazingly enough. Brian sounds 1000 times better than he generally does...he should sing more at this pace with AC DC because there he's nearly impossible to listen to at some shows he sound so strained.
he must have been on a rest!
I wanted to hear Billy sing more~~!!
-
I agree that Brian does sound damn good here. Would have been better if Billy punched the guitar player in the face, grabbed his axe and played the solo himself. But that's just me splitting hairs.
-
hahaha
yeah that would have been cool...piano lead. The guitarist had a good tone though....it all sounded solid as a brick sh*t house
:)
-
Gonna search on YouTube and see which Full Show of AC/DC to watch. Once I settle on one, will post here......
-
I had a great AC DC night about a week back...Bon Scott mostly...but it was fun!
-
In the Brian Johnson / Billy Joel performance, did you happen to notice David Bryan in the background? He's behind Billy's head, just to the right. Dude up against the black wall. I immediately noticed him the first time around watching the video. Forgot to point him out when I posted the video here.
-
I was making fun of David Byrne just today.
you mean the guy from talking heads right?
not david bryan?
not sure who that is./
-
oh that guy.
bleh...no sorry I don't look for him anywhere but the bad hair department
gah
bon jovi should have gotten rid of him and kept richie...well actually I like Phil X better anyway!!
hahaha
-
I'd kill for hair like that! I'd also kill to get my hands on a MSJ wig too!
-
well I agree with you there. I'd try and do something cooler with it...that's for sure...god he's had a horrible hairdo for 30 years!!
-
He gets laid more than Fonzie. Chicks dig the white man's jheri curl.
-
trust me...that guy has probably nailed so much bon jovi run-over we can't even imagine how fine they were.
f*ck him and his jheri curl.

I feel like I should be having a Mai Tai when I see that stage!@
the other shots from the stage out are really nice.
I've seen the Stones play on a stage like that before...such a weird backdrop...they were all high in the 70's!!

Chris Slade Confirms AC/DC Return
Chris Slade has confirmed that he will appear with AC/DC for the first time in more than two decades as part of the Grammy Awards broadcast on Sunday (Feb. 8). “This is an amazing opportunity for me,” the drummer said in a statement. “After all, most people don’t ever get to play with their favorite band once, let alone twice!”
Slade, a member of AC/DC from 1989-94, steps in as Phil Rudd‘s legal woes continue. Charged with threatening to kill and drug possession, Rudd’s scheduled court appearance next week in New Zealand was delayed when his lawyer abruptly walked out.
Rudd had already completed work on AC/DC’s current studio effort, ‘Rock or Bust,’ but hasn’t been able to participate in subsequent photo and video shoots. Rob Richards of Shogun mimed Rudd’s parts, but obviously the Grammy show — AC/DC’s first national television appearance in 14 years — required someone more familiar with the group’s storied history.
Rumors have swirled for days about Slade’s involvement, even as Rudd hired a high-profile New Zealand-based replacement in attorney Craig Tuck. The cat seemed to have completely escaped the bag, however, when Slade was photographed last night (Feb. 6) signing AC/DC memorabilia at a pre-Grammy event.
“I would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming support I have been shown personally, on the Facebook page and other social media,” Slade added. “Not one comment has gone unread and it has been very humbling. Thanks so much. We apologise for the secrecy. Please understand this was for all the right reasons.”
After Sunday’s show, AC/DC has confirmed dates that include Coachella in April and a more extensive tour later on. It’s unclear just yet whether Slade will remain on board for these subsequent shows. Rudd, who was originally with AC/DC from 1975-83, returned to take over for Slade in 1994.
On a side note I'm torn about watching the grammy's or Walking Dead/Better Call Saul. I really want to see some of the artists on the Grammy's, which is highly abnormal for me. Then again, I caught a bad stomach flu this weekend and don't really care about much.
I'm thinking I'll watch the Grammy's half comatose and follow up with TWD and Saul at a later date.
-
I'm watching TWD and Better Call Saul live. I will just catch the Grammy's On Demand.
-
I get to watch the first hour of the Grammy's and I was hoping that AC/DC would open the show. They did with Rock or Bust and then Highway to Hell and they f*cking kicked major ass! They sounded great and the crowd was into it and it was a hoot to see people you wouldn't expect to be rocking out to them: Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Paul McCartney and........Jane Fonda (wtf!). To me AC/DC just gave the best opening performance ever for the Grammy's. Loved it!!!! It was great to see Chris Slade back on the skins with the band again.
-
will have to look for this on youtube...I did walk out in the living room and my wife had it on...they were playing and it looked and sounded great...but I only caught maybe 30 seconds of it...so I need to see MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!

AC/DC ANNOUNCE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES (http://ultimateclassicrock.com/acdc-tour-2015/)
Of course they would bypass San Diego. Wasn't expecting them to make it here. No one comes to SD anymore.

ACDC - Black In Black (Featuring Axl Rose)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XymxcG7pdqI
Okay, even I have to admit that was damn good. I had my reservations about all this but yeah, Axl delivered. Just waiting for people to post the entire show. This is in Lisbon right now. So I give it an hour before YouTube starts flooding videos of the show.

Daaaaaaaaaamn!
-
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is awesome!!
Hold on just listening to my first taste of this...Rock or Bust...I don't even like the song and it sounds great...and my GOD Angus' live tone is SICK!!!!!!!!!!
-
How can you not like that song? It's vintage AC/DC in a way they haven't been since Back In Black. The album as a whole is the best they have done in 25 years.
-
I think it was just off my radar. This is crazy. Such a dark year in music starting at the end of 2015...but some amazing bright spots appearing by ironically one of the bigger disappointments from our past (Axl) He seems to be at the vortex of this bright spot. Crazy times!!
-
noticing a lot of these uploads are file protected and fairly tough to save right now...none are that high res (not talking your links but just stuff I am seeing on youtube)
but I've nabbed a few/
-
here's the full show from the front row....love res but the guy has amazing seats....booted from periscope

Have a Drink On Me
Let There Be Rock
I am sure they will appear.
if you feel any of the videos I added suck...let me know and I can search for the best quality versions...
you can do the same and add them here...important gig to document I feel...I see this band sticking around to be honest.
AC DC new album with Axl...it could happen.
-
I play Rock and Roll Train on Rocksmith all the time. Damn fun.
There were some ProShot videos of some of the clips last night, but they seemed to have been pulled off YouTube. I was going to post them this morning but I can't find them anywhere.
-
AC DC new album with Axl...it could happen.
Angus Democracy will never happen.
-
hahahahaha
that was perfect!!!
hahahaha
in a weird way I could see Axl being more relaxed doing an AC DC record.
weird but true!!
this is really fun, thanks for creating this place to celebrate moments like this!!
I tried to save that pro shot video...it was impossible for me without just doing a screen record...which always looks a little meh
trust me there'll be so much footage from this tour...everyone is recording...should be a fun ride.
-
Last night I spent a couple of hours just trying to download AC/DC/Axl videos and nothing was getting through. I can wait until someone falls asleep at the wheel and forgets to lock their videos.
-
You got that right! A few of the links I shared are quite good both in audio and video.
-
It's amazing Axl is doing all this sitting down. 2 HUGE moments with a broken foot. So insane how this all played out.
-
Slash would be smart to break Axl's other leg when he comes back to guarantee he doesn't go anywhere else for the time being.
-
It'll be funny if when he gets back on both feet he sucks.
;)
Angus' live tone kills!!!
-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvxSaAK6jjg
still no Have a Drink On Me to be found (except on the full show I added up.)
still looking though...it'll happen
this is let there be rock and Angus' solo.

and another full show
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgoKb80rvng
-
wow looks like they took that full show down and made it 90 seconds.
I got the whole thing and it works...so it's here if you want it.
not great video but decent audio for sure.
-
That full show is hard to get through. Because the bulk of the audio has the crowd singing along, it drowns out most everything else. Axl comes through loud and clear, followed by Angus. I can't really hear much of Rhythm, Bass and Drums after that. I wouldn't be able to sit through the entire show like that. I'm still looking for other full shows right now.
-
wasn't sure if you have an active OZZY thread...but apparently he's gone missing after being kicked out by Sharron, his kids are frantically looking for him. (maybe bump this to an appropriate thread and we can chat about this)

he's probably with his "hoochie mamma"

They need to hurry up and release the f*cking DVD for this leg of the tour!
-
Axl has made me actually like this song a LOT more (night one here)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMY1qfCPvFI
-
DUDE!!!
Axl is IN AC DC as a permanent member...he spilled the beans. (at least from his POV)
in this interview. He said. I am in if they want me in...and he also mentioned new album
FAK YES!!!
this should be cued up to a tiny bit before he says it...and I mean come on....AC DC would be insane to go backwards after this....this is going to be SOOOOO cool
https://youtu.be/Z9nfC-YR9B4?t=832
-
Axl failed to show up on time at GNR show this week. Slash and Duff are STILL waiting backstage to go on stage and have no clue Axl isn't even in GNR anymore, let alone in the United States.
RIOT!!!!
-
hahahaha
you know Slash is hearing all this and going...ah dammit!! we were just getting rolling.
I do believe Axl will split his time between the two bands but the summer tours etc...will be tricky ie...big festivals and stuff....especially if both bands get billed.
AC DC just got way cooler...I think this is an excellent Mach3 version of the band...and I a very excited (hopefully) to see this continue!!
so let me ask you this....if Axl was given an offer from AC DC to go full time...could Axl put G N R to the side completely...not like they give him an Ultimatum but do you believe this gig sort of revitalizes Axl in a way
and like I'd mentioned makes things more "fun" and easy.
he seems very happy and so nice right now...and humble..it's really trippy!!
-
FIIIIIRRRRAAAAHGGGHH!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_fV0C18oU8
-
If Axl goes with AC/DC full time, GNR is officially done after fulfilling it's contractual obligations for shows already booked this summer. Duff and Slash aren't going to wait around.

AC/DC - TOUCH TOO MUCH - Prague 22.05.2016
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxPTZIv8P9M&list=WL&index=45
-
not even kidding.
one of my all time favorite ac dc tracks...this version is ok though...I'd like to see Axl sing the parts a little more in full voice.
really cool to see them bust it out...it's almost too smooth the way he's singing it for my taste and he's stuck in falsetto mode/
-
What Axl gives us here is exactly what I expected from him. It's really hard to match, let alone exceed Bon Scott.
-
he needs to talk it a little more. I checked out the original right after....Bon is pretty calm in it
regardless...really glad to see them do it, and if he keeps singing it. I am sure it will get better and better.
-
What I really want to see with this lineup is for them to start busting out some of the songs off of Fly On The Wall like Shake Your Foundations, Danger and Sink The Pink. I don't think they have played any of these songs live in well over 25 years.
-
you said...sink the pink
;D
:P
