It's been a loooooooong time where a performance moved me so much as this one did. THIS was electrifying! The hair on my arms is STILL standing on end. Wow! I mean, f*ck, this was incredible from start to finish. Watching this just proved once and for all that The Beatles are the greatest band ever to graced the planet....the universe. What comes through in a HUMONGOUS way here is that it's all about the words. The lyrics. The songs. It transcends everything out there. I loved every performance here. No Doubt was awesome and they were able to inject their classic sound into their songs and still keep the energy of the original Beatles classics intact.

Nora Jones was amazing, but I was completely blown away by what Dave Grohl brought to the table on his end and I already had him pegged as the nights MVP. Boy, I was not expecting Steven Tyler's medley to knock me over as much as it did. He brought the house down. Unreal! Soooooo good! Mavis Staples and James Taylor were incredible as well. Love this. Best 14 minutes you will ever spend that doesn't require you taking your pants off. I will definitely be playing this throughout the day for sure.

Loved seeing all the big name stars in the audience reduced to children as they grooved and basically rocked out along with the performers on stage paying tribute to Sir Paul McCartney. Who would have ever guessed that they could turn Kennedy Center into Wembley Stadium during Hey Jude? Awesome! 10 Stars!

The Beatles: The Night That Changed America — A GRAMMY Salute

Epic performances from EVERYONE involved. There wasn't a bad performance to be found anywhere. Really hard to even pick a favorite moment because each singer/band that came out threw down the gauntlet and made the previous performer obsolete. Everyone was bringing their A-Game for this night for sure. The house band was made up of Steve Lukather, Peter Framption, Don Was and Kenny Aronoff and they were damn good. But it was the guest performers that elevated this one for sure. Everyone from Joe Walsh to Alicia Keys to John Legend to The Eurythmics to David Grohl brought the house down. There were plenty more there, but too many to list here. But the showstopper was the final 45 minutes in which Ringo Starr got to perform his own set, followed by Paul McCartney and then the two of them together KILLED it! I WANT this on DVD!!! Till then, I won't be deleting this from my DVR any time soon. Even the "odd" behavior from Yoko Ono was entertaining. If you have seen her dance, you know what is coming.  ;D One "negative" was Julian Lennon was nowhere to be found. Not sure what the deal is there. Everyone else was there to celebrate the legacy of The Beatles from Sean Lennon to Dhani Harrison (who performs) and all the wives were there. But no Julian. Strange.

It's always cool to see Paul and Ringo playing together on stage. Ringo doesn't appear to ever get old.
