Hated this movie, despite my love for Affleck. As you say, slow and depressing as f*ck. 30 minutes was all I could take. Another example of Oscar material, and I'm actually dreading it.

There's actually a documentary on Troll 2. Best Worst Movie.

I watched the documentary, because I guess I was bored. It was ok. What do expect on research of pure crap?
Have not seen Troll 2

Ok, it's funny video stuff, but I see they are at least self aware and making fun of themselves.

Music / Chuck Berry R.I.P.
« on: March 18, 2017, 06:18:38 pm »
Legendary musician Chuck Berry has died, police confirm. He was 90.

The St. Charles County Police Department in Missouri confirmed on Facebook that they responded to a medical emergency on Saturday afternoon where they found an unresponsive man.

“St. Charles County police responded to a medical emergency on Buckner Road at approximately 12:40 p.m. today (Saturday, March 18),” the police department said in a statement. “Inside the home, first responders observed an unresponsive man and immediately administered lifesaving techniques. Unfortunately, the 90-year-old man could not be revived and was pronounced deceased at 1:26 p.m.

“The St. Charles County Police Department sadly confirms the death of Charles Edward Anderson Berry Sr., better known as legendary musician Chuck Berry.”

“The family requests privacy during this time of bereavement.”

Interesting concept...
... what if you were told what your future would be and wind up like?

Almost Christmas 3 Stars

With huge cast, there was a lot to be said. In fact it got so chaotic, it gave me headaches. Plenty of MOR humor. Just forgettable.

Bad Santa 2 3 Stars

Speaking of Bad Santa .. saw the sequel the other night. Hmmmmm, more of the original, but add a dash of some beautiful women and throw a fistful of foul mouthed Kathy Bates. She stood her ground with Billy Bob Thornton, and just amplified the rude, crude humor. Sometimes it worked, sometimes, you roll the eyes.

Definitely not great. But it is what it is. I laughed out loud often enough.

The young boy grown up was just freakin weird.

Yea, like several articles out there, the discussion about the interest in the sequels is waning.

Allied (1 Star)

Manchester by the Sea (1 less star)

I'm not going to waste time typing about two movies that thoroughly bored me in different ways. I had hopes for Allied, but it was just a slow moving, silly attempt at Casablanca wannabe?

Manchester by the Sea, I seriously tilted my head, because I couldn't believe how bad it was. I loves me some Casey Affleck, but wow, not only did I think he was bad with his lines, but his character had zero interest for me. Just a lot of depressing sad looks. I quit after 30 minutes.
