Postmodern Jukebox covers "Pinky And The Brain," feat Rob and Maurice.

I heard Rob Paulson mention doing this on his podcast so I was very curious to see what they did.

Those two are a couple in the last season and the current one and it's the CW so they don't show much but it's a fun relationship, I think.

I totally forgot about this thread.  If I knew about it.  I know we're mostly doing hot girls cause we're disgusting horrible guys, admit it, but we're not learning these moves.

I DID teach myself part of this dance.  I saw David Byrne do these moves and I KNEW I had to learn them.

An interesting idea for a short film, what happens when you're the first person to find out about a celebrity death?

Okay addendum to "Criminal," there's a deleted scene where Tommy Lee Jones goes to the hospital to visit HIS MOTHER!  His MOTHER!  This movie was made in TWO THOUSAND SIXTEEN!  They filmed this scene before they cut it, it's the only time that actress appears in the movie!  They had meetings and casting sessions where they said "Who could play Tommy Lee Jones' mother?" "In a flashback?" "No" and they put it in front of cameras and filmed it and edited it and colour timed it and at no point did they say "hey, this is INSANE!  Do we need this scene?"

Children Of Dune - Episode One, The Children

I've been waiting to see this, I ordered the blu-ray from freaking Germany since I'm such an HD snob.

And it's an interesting flick, though if you don't know what Dune is, the movie is NOT going to explain it to you.  Luckily I did, but let me give you an example.  The basics; spice is a drug that only grows on one world, it's instantly addictive, but it gives you the power to move through space.  At no point in the first episode do we see spice, spice being mined, people using spice, people being addicted to spice in any way, or spice being used to bend time.  We don't even see a space ship until 30 minutes into the first episode, and it's already travelled.

I know this was made for SciFi channel back in the Galactica days when they were doing real sci fi hard but at the same time, you want that general audience to be able to watch it.  I feel like they could have done more to adapt this and make it work as a standalone thing.

Something I was struck by was how much this looked like Game Of Thrones, the throne room in particular.  But there were little touches, it looked like a rip off except it came out seven years to so before GoT filmed.  There's even a face dancer and a scheming little person.

Also, James McAvoy is in it.  And Susan Sarandon plays the scheming evil queen of the universe.  And the lead character is kind of an evil messiah, so... it's odd.

I found this in the 5 buck bin and was amazed, it came out 2 years ago (that's a short window of time) and had Gary Oldman, Tommy Lee Jones, Gal Gadot, Kevin Costner, and Ryan Reynolds in it.  And the conceit?  That a dead spy's memories are transplanted into an insane criminal so that he can complete his mission?  That's INSANE.  I had to get it.

Well, the truth is the idea is insane, and the movie sadly isn't.  It's... fine.  It's done like Bourne or any other spy drama, they do the action right and they take it seriously but not too seriously to be melodramatic.  So it's just... fine.  It's watchable but there's nothing in there to make it memorable or worth recommending to anyone.   The fact that it wasn't bad was a disappointment.  Which is always the risk with the five buck bin.  Ah well.
