Would this fall into virtual getaways?

Man, we are inching closer and closer to things that will suck us into the virtual world. Some of these things actually look pretty cool to experience.

Ok then... I just saw an ad for it the other week... thought, hmmmm, looks interesting. Not enough effort to bookmark it. Looks like you saved me some time.

Desierto 2 Stars

I've seen trailers way back for this, eventually giving up on it. Then it pops up at the library and I'm surprised... it's far less than I was expecting. It doesn't get any more simplistic. A lone Rogue, yet psychotic gunman, hunts illegals crossing the border. Very little dialog, with nothing but cat and mouse survival. It gets pretty repetitive. You also know how it's going to play out. Very little surprises.

Matchstick Men 3 Stars

I've heard about this film and that's about my extent of my interest.  With absolutely nothing on, we just put this on and rolled the dice. My first surprise was to see Ridley Scott directing. I've liked Sam Rockwell and he didn't disappoint. Nicolas Cage, meh, he's a little better than usual. I guess I rather liked it because of it's unpredictability. It did go on a little long, but overall a solid entertaining film.

Meskada 3 stars

3 stars for 90% of a pretty decent low budget FBI investigation of a child mistakenly killed over a simple robbery in another town.

The ending reallllllllly sucked.

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back 2 Stars

Wow... just mediocre at best. Every scene is cookie cutter and we've seen a million times before. Devoid of interest. Cruise needs to drop this series. The first was ok, this just totally wasted my time.

Train To Busan

Out of the blue, Train popped in the queue. I was pleasantly surprised at how well I liked it. Essentially it's World War Z... on a train. Good story, decent CGI and paced well. Some of the more scary and vicious zombies I've seen in awhile.
